My host was a restaurateur and chef from Paris.
She has lived in Marrakesh for 15 years. And has also cooked for the Moroccan royal family.
Long story short, she gave me and an Irish girl a cooking lesson. We made a lamb tangine with walnut stuffed candied figs and some other stuff.
***A few other notes. We shopped at the local markets for ingredients, which was a great experience. The other stuff we ate included roasted eggplants with a tomato and coriander sauce, and for dessert fresh strawberries and mint leaves.
