The Island of Corsica.
My parents and I went on a tour of Corsica. Honestly, the island seems to be in kind of a state of disrepair and neglect- I’m not entirely sure why that is. I suppose industrialization and globalization isn’t very kind to small island communities…
This place is historically relevant, particularly because this is where Napoleon is from. We visited Ajaccio, city where he was born and grew up. There are like 40 statues of this guy. The picture is of one of these statues (…with a seagull on his head, cause it’s funny to me. Seagull don’t care you were the emperor of France…)
